Code of Conduct for Students
As a student of Guru Nanak
Elementary School you are expected to practice pleasant
manners and treat others with respect and kindness. You
conduct should qualify you to be portrayed as a role
model of Guru Nanak Elementary School.
Should a student not meet these
expectations, there will be discussions, warnings and
student-teacher-parent meeting. In rare circumstances
case referrals are sent in the Principal’s office. So
as to ensure positive result students are expected to
observe the following rules;
1.
Students are required to be in the school only
during school hours unless otherwise an arrangement with
teacher/parent has been made.
2.
Guru Nanak Elementary School has a closed campus
policy this means students must remain at the school
premises from the time they arrive until school
finishes.
3.
Students stay at the school during lunch period.
4.
Students who are late in the morning, even with a
genuine reason must report to the office for a late
slip.
5.
The assembly hall (place of worship) demands
courtesy and kindness to everybody present.
6.
Move quietly in hallway and always keep right.
7.
Lunch and snacks must be vegetarian.
8.
Soda pop and junk food is not permitted in the
School.
9.
Report to the teacher supervisor about any
situation that you consider unusual or dangerous.
10.
While in the bus, students must follow all safety
rule and refrain from horseplay.
11.
Be punctual and value your own time and as well
as of others.
12.
Electronic gadgetry, toy guns, gums are not
allowed.
13.
GNE is Your School. Keep it neat tidy and clean.
Be a caring person for everyone and everything
around you.
Code Of Conduct For Parents
As a
Parent of students of GNE you are expected to practice
pleasant manners and treat others with respect and
kindness and help us to portray you as a good role model
We seek a committed adherence to the
following:
- Parents,
responsible for drop-off and pick-up is required to
be on time for the school.
- Contact the teacher ASAP regarding any issues regarding the
student.
- Sign
and check the journal every day and keep in touch
with the school.
- Pop
and junk food are not allowed in the school.
- Parents assume full responsibility of homework.
- Notify
the school ASAP if there is any change in address,
child's health, phone number, medical information,
significant change in behavior etc.
- Provide
fresh & nutritious snack and lunch for your
child everyday.
- We
encourage parents to develop effective communication
with their children at all times.
- Monitor the screen time (TV and computer) based on
prudence.
- Parent
is required to attend all PAC meeting and be
available for the school whenever requested.
